Airbus Beluga makes a pit-stop at Mumbai International Airport

By November 25, 2022 No Comments

The peculiar, whale-shaped Airbus Beluga aircraft made a pit stop at Mumbai airport earlier this week en route to Cairo, Egypt. The unusual shape and size of the Airbus Beluga is a head-turner where ever it goes. The staff and workers at the airport were spellbound as the aircraft made its very first appearance at Mumbai International airport.

Airport workers and passengers were seen taking photographs of the plane and Mumbai Airport posted about the aircraft on social media.

The Beluga, or A300-600ST, is used to transport oversized air cargo. Originally constructed to assist Airbus with its own production deliveries, the aircraft having been replaced by a fleet of six new-generation BelugaXL versions, the A300-600ST is now available for lease by third party freight companies.

Earlier this week, Mumbai airport welcomed another usual aircraft when Embraer E195-E2 with TechLion” livery made a stop in Mumbai as part of its larger Asia Tour.
