Singapore Airlines is all set to open a new SilverKris Lounge at Perth Airport (PER), providing passengers with more space, enhanced facilities and new dining options. Due to open by the end of this year, the new lounge will be double the size of the existing longue
It will accommodate around 140 customers and be in a new location in the International Terminal opposite Gate 52, conveniently located to all international gates in the transit area.
“The lounge will have a series of distinct personal spaces to engender a sense of being at home, including a living room, bar, expanded dining rooms and productivity pods for those with work to catch up on. The new lounge will also include shower facilities,” SIA said in a statement.
Louis Arul, regional VP, SIA said: “We launched our services to Perth in 1967, and since then we’ve invested in and grown our operations to support the Western Australian region. The decision to acquire a new space to build the lounge allows us to minimise the disruption to our customers during the development phase and once work is complete, allows for a seamless transition to the new space.”
In the new SilverKris Lounge will be a larger buffet area that includes a live station and full bar, providing a wide selection of freshly prepared food and beverages to travelers throughout the day.
Last month SIA announced a further boost to Perth’s capacity by adding four new weekly flights between November 24th, 2023 and January 14th, 2024. This will increase SIA flights between Perth and Singapore to 25 a week and add more seats over the peak summer holiday season.
SIA said passengers traveling in Business Class or who are members of the PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold, Virgin Australia Velocity Beyond, Platinum and Gold card members departing on Singapore Airlines operated flights as well as STAR Alliance Gold members traveling on STAR Alliance member carrier operated flights will be able to access the Lounge.
