Safran Nacelles and ST Engineering signed a license agreement for the Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) of Airbus A320neo’s LEAP-1A nacelles. With this agreement, Safran Nacelles and ST Engineering will jointly provide nacelle MRO for the A320neo fleet.

Alain Berger, Safran Nacelles’ executive vice president – customer support & services, said: “I look forward to sharing with ST Engineering, a global MRO player, our experience and our best OEM quality standards. Operators of the LEAP-1A equipped A320neo nacelles can therefore rest assured that they will benefit from the best repairs in an extensive network of global stations.”

Delighted to extend the partnership with Safran Nacelles, Yip Yuen Cheong, head of aerostructures and systems at ST Engineering, added: “Through this MRO license to provide A320neo LEAP-1A nacelle services, combined with strong engineering and manufacturing expertise, will provide operators best-in-class services that effectively support their flying operations.”

Additionally, with ST Engineering’s global network of aerospace MRO stations now supported by Safran Nacelles, the A320 operators can be assured of finding a repair station of choice that meets their expectations of turn time, logistics costs and lead time, claims ST engineering.

Over 2,500 nacelles produced by Safran Nacelles are currently in service on Airbus A320neo aircraft that are powered by CFM International’s LEAP-1A engines.
