Rolls-Royce has added North America-based Essential Turbines and MASCO Services to its network of around 30 authorised service providers for operators using Rolls-Royce M250 and RR300 engines.

Essential operates in Montreal, Surrey, British Columbia; and Phoenix, and is to run a “full feature shop” with focus on repair, overhaul and testing of both the M250 and RR300, which are made in Indianapolis.

MASCO is based in Grapevine, Texas and will operate an authorised repair facility, mainly for the RR300’s starter generator.

Around 33,000 of the engines have been delivered to customers around the world.

“Rolls-Royce welcomes both Essential Turbines Inc., and MASCO Services to our global network of authorised service centres. Their specialised skills, commitment to excellence and focus on the customer will further strengthen our FIRST Network giving operators additional flexibility and competition for local service and support on their Rolls-Royce helicopter engines,” said Scott Cunningham, Rolls-Royce programme director – helicopters.
