Regional airline maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) provider, Rheinland Air Service (RAS) has agreed to acquire Contact Air Technik MRO facility at Saarbrücken Airport.
“We are excited to add an experienced workforce and a state of the art maintenance facility to our constantly growing MRO business, and we look forward to growing our strong position in, the German Regional MRO market,” said Walter Lange, managing director & chief operating officer, RAS.
Contact Air Technik is specialized on base and line maintenance for ATR, Fokker and Bombardier Dash 8-Q400. The two hangars in Saarbrücken have a capacity for eight regional airliners. The facility has made significant investments in tooling over the past few years and currently employs over 60 well-trained aviation mechanics and personnel.
