Air France Industries (AFI) KLM E&M and Nile Air have wrapped up a component support agreement for the Egyptian airline’s six A320-200s.

The deal, AFI KLM E&M said, will cover” an extensive range of components, including various key models such as accessories and LRUs for CFM56-5B and IAE V2500 engines”.

AFI KLM E&M said it had “developed extensive expertise in every aspect” of the aircraft and can” refine support services which align perfectly with the specific challenges and expectations of operators, in particular the need for optimal component availability”.

The services provided to Nile Air will include access to a spare parts pool and “the availability of a main base kit (MBK) within local reach of the customer’s facilities”.

“During our previous co-operations, the AFI KLM E&M teams have proven their ability to design and implement high-performance solutions adapted to our precise needs. There’s no doubt that their A320 component support will bring tangible added value to our operations, helping to ensure optimal availability for our fleet,” said Mohamed Nagy, chief executive of Nile Air.

“We’re very proud that Nile Air is calling in our services once again, and are fully committed to providing top-flight support to help sustain the development of this young and dynamic airline. Nile Air’s choice is all the more gratifying because it illustrates our teams’ ability to build quality relationships, on a foundation of confidence and attentiveness over the long term,” said Géry Mortreux, executive vice president, Air France Industries.
