Moment has partnered with Malaysia Airlines to install its immersive and innovative In-Flight Entertainment platform, Flymingo Connect, aboard its Boeing 737-800.

The next-gen inflight entertainment solution is a modular embedded In-Flight Entertainment platform, featuring a Server and Wireless Access Points.

Embedding the latest technologies (5G, Wi-Fi 802.11ax, and IoT gateways), Flymingo Connect enables airlines to provide in-cabin connected services, enhance digitalization, and automate aircraft operations.

Moment is scheduled to roll out pilot tests on this state-of-the-art IFE portal starting in January 2022 on selected aircraft on Malaysia Airlines’ B737-800 fleet. Upon successful trials, Malaysia Airlines will subsequently deploy this throughout its entire B737-800 fleet.

Lau Yin May, Group Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer of Malaysia Airlines Berhad commented, “We are particularly attentive to new technologies creating a contactless journey while making the cabin more comfortable and our passengers entertained with a series of new onboard services and an extensive library of the latest media content on our MHstudio entertainment portal. The Flymingo Connect system empowers Malaysia Airlines to deliver market-leading onboard services, elevate our passenger’s onboard experience, build customer loyalty, and increase ancillary revenue. This is part of a more extensive cabin refurbishment programme that the airline has undertaken to ensure we deliver a seamless and highly customised travel experience for our passengers, especially in a post-pandemic era. Passengers will be able to vote for their favourite entertainment selection on future flights, continue their program seamlessly from one flight to another and transact with Enrich loyalty, among other things.”
