ExxonMobil has announced that the first Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner was converted to Mobil Jet Oil 387, following its late March 2018 delivery to Singapore Airlines.

The converted components include the aircraft’s Rolls Royce Trent 1000 engines as well as its UTC Aerospace Systems (UTAS) variable frequency starter generators (VFSGs). Mobil Jet Oil 387 was approved for use in UTAS VFSGs in late 2017 and Singapore Airlines is the first commercial fleet to use the product.

Last year, ExxonMobil announced the use of Mobil Jet Oil 387 across the entire Singapore Airlines’ fleet, which includes a range of Airbus and Boeing wide-body models. As a result, the remaining 48 Boeing 787-10’s scheduled for delivery to Singapore Airlines are also confirmed to use Mobil Jet Oil 387.
