Hamad International Airport records busy Q1 with 44% rise in passenger traffic

The Hamad International Airport in Qatar recorded a 44.5% rise in passenger traffic and 18.65% increase in aircraft movements in the Q1 of 2023. The airport saw a total of 10,315,695 passengers during the first quarter of 2023. Aircraft movements also increased compared to last year, with a total of 56,417 arriving and departing from the airport.

During the first quarter of 2023, Hamad International Airport handled more than 540,000 tonnes of cargo and moved over 8 million bags through its facility, including more than 5 million transfer baggage.

Hamad International Airport busiest destinations during the first quarter of the year were London, Bangkok, Dhaka, Manila and Jeddah and the airport currently has over 40 airline partners.
