Airports Company South Africa has awarded Menzies Aviation with a five-year license to provide ground-handling services at nine airports across South Africa.  Menzies has been recently granted a license to operate at O.R. Tambo International Airport (JNB), Cape Town International Airport (CPT), King Shaka International Airport (DUR), Dawid Stuurman International Airport (PLZ), Bram Fischer International Airport (BFN), George Airport (GRJ), Kimberley Airport (KIM), King Phalo Airport (ELS) and Upington International Airport (UTN).

Charles Wyley, Executive Vice President of Middle East, Africa, and Asia, Menzies Aviation, said: “We are excited to continue working with our partner ACSA following the renewal of our ground handling services license. This extension ensures that we are also able to continue our support of the South African government’s BBBEE integration program, and our people can continue to develop their careers with us. We look forward to building our relationship with ACSA and supporting our airline partners, whilst growing our other services, such as air cargo and lounges, across South Africa.”

The contract will help support Menzies ability to develop other services such as air cargo, VIP meet and greet, and lounges.

Airports Company South Africa SOC (ACSA) is partially owned by the South African government and manages nine airports across the country.
