Ethiopian Airlines has increased its contract with AJW Group with a contract for the maintenance and repair of parts.

The contract will be carried out on Ethiopian Airlines’ B737NG component MRO services and will include repairs at AJW Technique, AJW Group’s maintenance facility in Montreal.

The airline has been a long-term customer of AJW’s trading business, parts sales and support services, and this new partnership marks an extension to the current offering.

Zelalem Tsehaye, Ethiopian Airlines, MRO managing director commented: “We are so optimistic that the signing of a repair management contract with AJW will enhance the capabilities and excellence of our Sub-Saharan Africa’s largest maintenance centre and take it to the next level. Currently, our MRO carries out unscheduled maintenance works and winglet installations on the B767 and B737.

“The partnership will, therefore, enable us to fill the existing gaps in the maintenance and overhaul of B737 as we envision becoming the leading MRO service provider in Africa.”
