Avia Prime, a sole owner of Adria Tehnika and LINETECH MRO’s, has signed a deal with the Serbian Government to acquire a 99% stake in JAT Tehnika.

After this transaction, the Avia Prime Group becomes one of the key players on the European MRO market, offering a comprehensive range of MRO services along with engine services.

Piotr Kaczor, CEO of Avia Prime Group, said: “Our greatest asset is the complexity of the offer. We can cover multiple locations along with different aircraft types, so even big airlines with a dissimilar fleet can find a good partner in our group.

“We also address the issue of the ever-changing European market. Every smaller MRO needs a strong partner, just like certain airlines consolidate as a part of the bigger group. 34 heavy maintenance lines and new certificates such as FAA FAR147 and EASA PART-21J brought with JAT Tehnika will significantly strengthen our services.”

Avia Prime is an MRO group that consists of Adria Tehnika of Slovenia, in the near future – Serbian JAT Tehnika, and LINETECH in Poland. Companies are solely owned by Avia Prime. Last year Avia Prime logged over 1,2 million man-hours with around 300 heavy checks. This number should reach 3 million after the addition of JAT Tehnika, the company says.

Avia Prime will support 34 independent base maintenance lines. The group is a maintenance provider to most-reputable airlines and operators in Europe and Asia, such as Lufthansa, SAS, Easy Jet, Finnair, Norwegian, TUI, Edelweiss, Swiss, Brussels Airlines, Arkia Israeli Airlines, Austrian, Laudamotion and Volotea.
