Air Niugini has renewed its distribution agreement with Sabre Corporation for fares distribution and offers through Sabre’s global travel marketplace. With this renewed agreement the airline will continue to have access to Sabre’s extensive network of global travel buyers while giving Sabre-connected travel agents ongoing access to Air Niugini content.

Paul Abbott, General Manager, Commercial & Distribution, Air Niugini, said:We are delighted to renew our important distribution agreement with Sabre as we get ready to enter our next half-century. With travel restrictions now lifted to Papua New Guinea, it is vital that we continue to work with Sabre, our preferred technology partner, to give global travel buyers access to the fares and offers they need to create enhanced experiences for their leisure and corporate travellers.”

Rakesh Narayanan, Vice President, Regional General Manager, Asia Pacific, Travel Solutions Airline Sales, Sabre, said: “As travel recovery continues apace in Asia Pacific, it is important airlines in the region can reach travellers across the world through Sabre’s extensive network of global buyers, and that travel agent has access to rich airline content. So, we are thrilled to continue our valued relationship with Air Niugini as the airline prepares to celebrate its 50th anniversary by welcoming increasing numbers of travellers to its destinations in Papua New Guinea and the wider Asia-Pacific region.”

Air Niugini uses the SabreSonic Passenger Service System (PSS) to deliver a more tailored customer experience and capture full revenue opportunities. The carrier has also renewed its agreement with Sabre to be a distributor of Sabre’s Global Distribution System (GDS) in Papua New Guinea, giving travel agents in the Pacific region opportunities to adopt Sabre’s intuitive Sabre Red 360 workspace.
