Lufthansa Technical Training and SAMC sign new agreement

On November 7, 2018, Shanghai Aircraft Manufacturing Company (SAMC) and Lufthansa Technical Training, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lufthansa Technik AG, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at Airshow China in Zhuhai. The MoU intensifies a closer strategic partnership between the two companies in on-the-job training of skilled technicians.

SAMC is a subsidiary of Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) and is responsible for the production of ARJ21, C919 and CR929. It provides four major businesses, including final assembly, key components and parts fabrication, MRO and retrofit and composite material.

The letter of intent outlines a strategic cooperation between SAMC and Lufthansa Technical Training, including training system development, new staff training, advanced training for skilled technicians and facility planning for practical training. SAMC and Lufthansa Technical Training college will apply advanced training

methods and modules from Lufthansa Technical Training in a joint education program. SAMC and Lufthansa Technical Training endeavour to built-up a modern platform for on-job training with dual system and evaluation through the contemplated initiative.
