Radio-Canada, Canada’s public broadcaster, has revealed that the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has been the victim of a cyberattack, which it alleges it concealed for months and allowed the malware to spread throughout the airline industry.

The broadcaster refers to Internal documents that detail ICAO’s alleged “flawed” response to the attack, which is believed to have been launched by a Chinese hacker group.

ICAO told AFP it was preparing a statement about the news.
